About Salimah

Salimah Shivji is the South Asia correspondent for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, based in Mumbai, India.

She has been with Canada’s public broadcaster for two decades, covering natural disasters and conflict zones, and reporting from around the world, including stints in Washington and London. She was a senior reporter with the parliamentary bureau in Ottawa, and also worked as a national arts reporter out of Toronto. 

She is fluently bilingual in English and French, with elementary knowledge of Spanish and Japanese.
